MEET David

Clinical Psychologist (APHRA)

David headshot (1)_edited.jpg

My name is David (he/him), and I am a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to providing a safe space and the necessary cognitive tools for you to face the challenges of life. I believe therapy should be a place where warmth and effectiveness meet—where genuine collaboration helps you make sense of your experiences and move towards meaningful change.

My therapy work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, with elements of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am currently working towards full accreditation as an EMDR practitioner.

Technical jargon aside, my therapy style is characterised by collaboration and insight. My goal is always to empower you, while fostering resilience and self-awareness, culminating in positive life changes.

EXPERIENCE

I have worked across a range of settings, including community mental health, school counselling, and private practice. My time in education gave me a deep appreciation for how early experiences shape emotional development, while community mental health work strengthened my understanding of the need for holistic and accessible care.

In private practice, I integrate these experiences to offer thoughtful, evidence-based support that honours each person’s unique story and capacity for growth.
