what to expect from therapy

Some people relish the opportunity to share their intimate thoughts, and openly embrace the support that therapy offers. Others have had incredibly difficult prior experiences (with therapy, with relationships) and may find the process more confronting.

At Open Dialogue, we understand that therapy can feel different depending on your personal story and it may take time to build a trusting therapeutic alliance. Therapy tends to work best when you’re open and honest. Our therapists get that, and aim to create a safe, accepting and nourishing space for you to explore your inner world at a pace that feels right for you.
