MEET Samantha

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW)

Hi I’m Samantha (she/her), I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) and experienced counsellor, working primarily with adults who have experienced relational or complex trauma. Many of my clients start therapy because they are feeling exhausted, stuck, or overwhelmed by the ongoing impacts of trauma, carrying feelings of shame, self-blame, and forever living in survival mode. My work is holistic, collaborative, and trauma-responsive, helping clients understand how these past experiences have shaped them, reduce shame and self-blame, and reconnect with themselves in ways that create greater ease, safety, and choice.

I draw on a range of modalities tailored to each client, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Somatic approaches, and Polyvagal-informed techniques. I also provide trauma-informed psychosexual therapy for clients navigating sex-based concerns, either as a specialist service or integrated into broader therapy depending on goals. Trauma can affect many parts of life, including mental health, relationships, intimacy, identity, and overall wellbeing.

Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. I offer a safe, collaborative space to explore how your experiences have shaped you, reduce shame and self-blame, and reconnect with yourself in ways that create greater ease, safety, and choice. Through this work, clients often feel more present in their bodies, able to communicate and maintain boundaries, care for their needs without guilt, experience greater self-compassion, and rebuild connection in relationships, work, and life.

I look forward talk with you more soon.
